I’ve been the pastor at Lombard Christian Reformed Church since 2009 where I’m responsible for preaching and leading the congregation in worship. The musician in me enjoys participating in music worship and choir. And the Canadian in me also enjoys skating at our Corner Ice rink.

I bring a philosophy of developing leaders within the congregation to take ownership of our many different ministries - through guidance and mentoring to training and retreats.

I've been serving in local churches since 1997, leading worship and preaching in a variety of denominations. During that time, God has led our family on a fascinating journey to urban contexts, cowboy territory, college campuses, international cafés, and sprawling suburbia. It’s been an adventure serving the Lord! Along the way, because of my passion for creativity and theology, I’ve also taught courses like Creative Writing, Christian Bible, Reading the New Testament, and World Religions at local Christian colleges.

By God’s generosity and my family’s support, I studied at Taylor University, Ball State University, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and Asbury Theological Seminary. My interests include baseball (Braves!), basketball, poetry, chess, video games, song writing, and BBQ.
