Sports Camp

Sports Camp is a week-long summer camp that introduces kids to Jesus and helps them develop godly character through the use of sports and biblical lessons. Along with sports, children will sing songs, hear Bible stories and help pack meals for a third-world country. The camp is FREE to the community, managed by the volunteers of Lombard Christian Reformed Church and is intended for children entering K – 6th grade

Our 2016 camp was held June 20-23.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When is Sports Camp?

This year’s dates are June 20-23. Sports Camp is held for 4 days (Mon/Tues/Wed/Thurs) in the evening (6-8:30pm). ** Please note this year we've changed the schedule to Mon-Thurs, whereas previous years Sports Camp was held Tues-Fri. **

Who can attend?

Sports camp is intended for children entering kindergarten through 6th grade.

Do I need to stay and monitor my child(ren)?

Parents are welcome to stay throughout the duration of Sport Camp, but is not required. All children will be safely monitored and cared for at all times.

What activities are included?

Sports will likely include a combination of Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, Kickball and other sports. There will also be worship time at the beginning and end of each day. The children will also participate in packing food for a third-world country.

Why do I need to register?

This allows us to assign your child(ren) to a team, provide them a correctly-sized shirt, be made aware of any allergies or other concerns and have the correct emergency contact information.

Does my child need to attend every day?

Full participation is recommended, but we understand that not every child will be able to make it every day. Please have your child inform their huddle coaches on which day(s) they will not be there.

Does my child need to bring anything?

Each child will be given a shirt. Drinks and snacks will also be provided. Each child may also bring a filled water bottle and any personal items to be carried by their respective huddle coach.
